PS Kello Harsama Leads Food Aid Initiative for Vulnerable Families in Kajiado

Kajiado, Kenya – Principal Secretary Kello Harsama has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting vulnerable communities by leading a food distribution exercise in Kajiado County, alongside Cabinet Secretary Beatrice Askul Moe and China’s Minister Counselor, Mr. Zhou Zhencheng.
With over 2.8 million Kenyans facing acute food insecurity due to below-average rainfall and climate unpredictability, this initiative provides critical relief to affected households. PS Harsama emphasized the government’s dedication to ensuring no Kenyan goes hungry, while also highlighting the importance of long-term solutions such as climate-smart agriculture and sustainable food systems.
The participation of China’s Minister Counselor underscored Kenya-China cooperation in addressing humanitarian challenges, reinforcing China’s role as a key development partner.
