LSK President Faith Odhiambo Condemns Police Brutality Against Children

Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Faith Odhiambo has strongly condemned police brutality against children, demanding immediate accountability from law enforcement.
Odhiambo criticized recent incidents where children were subjected to police violence during extracurricular activities, calling it an outrageous violation of their rights. She insisted that schools and recreational spaces must remain safe, free from intimidation by security forces.
“There is no legitimacy in an administration that attacks its children,” Odhiambo stated, blaming police impunity for escalating violations against minors. She warned that unless authorities take action, public trust in law enforcement will continue to decline.
Odhiambo emphasized that the police must be held accountable, urging swift investigations, legal action against rogue officers, and systemic reforms to prevent further abuse.
“This is not just about individual cases—it is an assault on Kenya’s future,” she said, calling on the government to prioritize the safety and rights of children.
The LSK President vowed to push for justice, insisting that Kenya cannot tolerate a system that endangers its young generation. Her bold stance underscores the urgent need for police accountability and stronger protections for children.
