Joined by environmental advocate Rotich Colleen, Dr. Kariuki underscored the symbolic and ecological significance of planting trees during the Easter season. “Easter is about renewal, and what better way to honor that spirit than by giving back to the earth,” he said.

The initiative, championed by Comfort Homes and Together As One, aims to combat climate change, restore biodiversity, and enhance food security. “Trees are the lungs of the planet,” Dr. Kariuki emphasized. “They represent life, hope, and our shared responsibility for the future.”

Residents welcomed the effort, praising the team’s spirit and community-centered approach. Dr. Kariuki noted the broader social impact of such campaigns, saying, “Tree planting brings people together, inspires action, and builds a legacy of care.”

As Kenya grapples with deforestation and environmental challenges, this Easter tree planting campaign sends a clear message: sustainable development begins at the grassroots. Dr. Kariuki’s message was simple yet profound—“Let’s plant for prosperity, for unity, and for the generations to come.”
