Kindiki: Government Committed to Equitable Development and Grassroots Empowerment

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to equitable development and inclusive growth, noting that every Kenyan deserves the opportunity to live in dignity, safety, and prosperity.
Speaking during a recent development tour of Narok County, DP Kindiki emphasized that the Kenya Kwanza administration is prioritizing the fair distribution of national resources and investment in critical infrastructure to uplift marginalized regions and empower local communities.
“Through equitable sharing of national resources and development projects, we are building a united, prosperous and productive Country where every citizen has an opportunity to live in safety and dignity,” he said.
Kindiki noted that the government is making deliberate policy and administrative interventions, particularly through infrastructure investments in roads, markets, electricity, water, and ICT facilities.
These efforts, he said, are geared toward supporting the growth of small-scale enterprises from the grassroots.
He made the remarks during the commissioning of the Sekanani Bead Production Centre in Narok County, a Sh120 million facility launched by President William Ruto. The centre is expected to create thousands of jobs for women and youth, promote tourism, and boost economic activity in the region.
Later, the Deputy President joined President Ruto in Olderkesi for the issuance of over 9,000 title deeds to residents of Enkoireroi-Olderkesi. He termed the move a significant step in fulfilling the government’s pledge to address land ownership grievances and promote peaceful coexistence.
“Our commitment is to ensure that every citizen has a rightful claim to their land and can live and invest in peace,” Kindiki concluded.
