Kenyan R&B sensation Maya Amolo is set to release her much-anticipated new single “Guidance” later today.
The track promises to be a heartfelt exploration of love, trust, and the quiet magic found in everyday moments shared with someone special.
Describing the upcoming release, Maya says “Guidance” captures the ease of being with someone you love—where life flows without fear or doubt, and every routine moment feels elevated by their presence.
“It’s about navigating life with someone you trust completely,” Maya shared in a recent interview. “Those simple moments—just being together—can mean everything.”

Speaking ahead of the release, the Nairobi-based singer urged Kenyans to rally behind local music and celebrates homegrown talent.
She noted that the Kenyan music scene is evolving rapidly and gaining international recognition.
“It’s exciting to see Kenyan music playing abroad. There’s a lot of growth happening, and it’s important that we support each other,” she said.
Maya Amolo first captured attention in 2020 with her debut project Leave Me At The Pregame, a journey of healing and self-discovery.
Her 2022 debut album Asali followed, delving into the complexities of love, infatuation, and emotional growth.
She has since earned praise from platforms like NPR, The Native Mag, and OkayAfrica, and was spotlighted by Spotify Africa as their first-ever Fresh Finds artist in 2022.
In 2023, Maya joined the Tantalizers Sessions writing camp by COLORSxSTUDIOS and was named Apple Music’s East Africa Up Next artist later that year.
