Murang’a Deputy Speaker and Kihumbu-ini MCA Hon. Moses Gachui has declared full support from the County Assembly for Governor Irungu Kang’ata’s bold investment agenda, calling the Murang’a Investment Conference a turning point for the county’s economic future.
Speaking at the high-level forum, Hon. Gachui hailed the event as a “defining moment” for Murang’a’s transformation. “This is not just a conference—it’s a statement. Murang’a is open for business, and as the Assembly, we stand behind Governor Kang’ata’s vision with 100% commitment,” he said.
The three-day event brought together investors, financiers, policymakers, and government officials to explore opportunities in agribusiness, housing, infrastructure, tourism, and manufacturing. The goal: to position Murang’a as a prime destination for sustainable investments.
Hon. Gachui emphasized the Assembly’s readiness to enact investment-friendly laws, streamline policy frameworks, and provide strong oversight to ensure that projects deliver real value to residents.
“Our role is not just legislative—it’s developmental. We are here to ensure investments uplift livelihoods and reflect the priorities of our people,” he noted.
Governor Kang’ata has been praised for his practical, investor-focused approach, with the conference now setting the stage for public-private partnerships that could reshape Murang’a’s economy.
As counties become key drivers of local development under devolution, Murang’a’s proactive stance could offer a model for attracting and managing high-impact investments.
Hon. Gachui concluded with a pledge: “Together—with the executive, investors, and citizens—we are building a future where Murang’a leads, not follows.”
