Each year world toilet day on 19 November highlights the importance of sanitation and hygiene in driving improvements in public health, gender equality, education, economic development and environmental protection.

Optiven foundation has marked the day in a special way through donation of a toilet block to Korrompoi primary school in Kajiado county.

The Optiven Ceo George Wachiuri in his message said that ,if sanitation doesn’t work for all of us ,it works for none of us ,and that’s the pain of it and the beauty.

β€œHappy wolrd Toilet day,Korrompoi primary school receicevd atoilet block courtesy of Optiven Foundation in partnership with Optiven Homes,”Wachiuri said.

According to the latest WHO/UNICEF Joint Monitoring Programme (JMP) report, progress on sanitation and hygiene is badly off track. For the 3.6 billion people currently without safely managed sanitation, it’s clear there will be no sustainable future without toilets.

This year’s theme is β€˜Valuing Toilets’
