William Ruto is among Kenya’s top politicians who have declared publicly that they will be running for the country’s top seat in 2022.
The deputy president has been advancing the hustler politics and the bottom up economic model which focuses at empowering Kenyans at the bottom of the pyramid to widen the tax base.
However, there has been questions on who is the best person suited to deputize William Ruto in the 2022 presidential race.
Another question that has been ringing in the minds of many ,is in which region will the running mate come from.
Speaking on Monday 9th evening on KTN News, Garissa town member of parliament, Aden Duale, spoke on Ruto’s choice for a running mate.
He said that winning an election is all about numbers and going by the arithmetics, Mt Kenya region has an upper hand to produce Ruto’s running mate.
“Hustler Nation has no specific name on who will be Ruto’s running mate. But you know very well that winning an election is all about numbers. This means that Mt Kenya region has got an upper hand in that area,”Duale stated.
Duale further hinted that national assembly speaker Justin Muturi could be the preferred person to be Ruto’s running mate come 2022 general elections, affirming that with such combination,Ruto will get more votes from the region than his competitors.
“If I was the one being asked who best suits to deputize Ruto from that region I would definitely go for the National Assembly Speaker, Justin Muturi,” Duale said.
Duale who is one of the Ruto’s close ally ,has assured Kenyans that the 5th president of Kenya will be William Ruto, come 2022.
