PS Ann Wangombe, Women Reps Forge United Front for Inclusive Development

Gender Principal Secretary Ann Wangombe met with a delegation of Women Representatives to discuss strategies for advancing inclusive development and gender equality across Kenya.
The high-level engagement brought together Hon. Esther Passaris, Hon. Jane Kagiri, Hon. Lillian Siyoi, and Hon. Dorice Donya, providing a platform to address critical constituency issues and align efforts on women empowerment, policy reform, and equitable access to resources.
PS Wangombe reaffirmed the State Department for Gender’s commitment to partnering with Women Representatives nationwide. “We are committed to ensuring women’s voices shape national development. This collaboration is key to unlocking inclusive growth,” she stated.
The leaders emphasized the need for joint initiatives to empower women, particularly in marginalized communities, and agreed to strengthen policy frameworks that support women’s leadership, economic participation, and protection.
The meeting underscored the importance of strategic partnerships in tackling gender disparities and advancing Kenya’s development agenda. Together, the leaders vowed to champion initiatives that place women at the center of progress and decision-making.
