Jiji, Kenya’s leading online marketplace, has been crowned the 2024 Best E-commerce Platform of the Year at the prestigious Digitally Fit Awards.

The company earned the accolade in the “Business of the Year: Creating an Impact Online” category during the ceremony held at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi.

Speaking after receiving the award, Jiji’s Director of Operations, Yuliy Shenfeld, expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing the importance of innovation in driving the e-commerce industry.

“We’re truly grateful to have the trust and support of our customers. They’ve been instrumental in our success. It’s a true honor to be recognized as the platform leading this effort,” Shenfeld said.

Since launching in Kenya in 2019, Jiji has rapidly grown to become one of the most popular e-commerce platforms, attracting over 4 million monthly users. The platform’s commitment to providing a seamless experience for both buyers and sellers has made it a top choice for online shopping.

This recent honor follows Jiji’s 2023 win for “Best E-commerce Mobile App of the Year,” further cementing its position as a leader in Kenya’s e-commerce sector. Shenfeld reiterated Jiji’s commitment to empowering businesses and bridging the gap between buyers and sellers: “Our mission is to drive the growth of the Kenyan economy by fueling progress, one connection at a time.”

As Kenya’s e-commerce market continues to expand, with projected revenues expected to reach $900 million in 2024, Jiji remains a key player in fostering the growth of digital commerce in the country.
