State Department for TVET and KEPSA Partner to Bridge Skills Gap

The State Department for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) have reinforced their collaboration to equip Kenyans with industry-aligned skills for the evolving job market.

During a courtesy visit led by Mutheu Kasanga, KEPSA Director for Education, ICT, Sports, Arts, and Culture, and Priscilla Kerebi, Vice Chair of the TVET Subsector Board, stakeholders reviewed milestones and outlined plans to decentralize training programs to underserved counties. This initiative aims to make technical education more accessible and equitable.

The meeting emphasized grassroots involvement to ensure that training programs address local socio-economic needs and remain impactful. “This partnership with the private sector is pivotal in creating a skilled workforce to drive Kenya’s socio-economic transformation,” noted a TVET representative.

By fostering industry collaboration, TVET is building a workforce ready to meet Kenya’s economic demands while promoting inclusive growth and innovation across sectors
