Hon. Joyce Kamene, Machakos County Woman Representative, embodied the spirit of the festive season by distributing Christmas gifts to elderly persons and individuals with disabilities (PWDs) during a heartwarming event at Mlolongo Primary School in Mavoko.
Following a church service earlier in the day, Hon. Kamene personally led the gift distribution, with caregivers collecting gifts for those unable to attend. She expressed her gratitude to the caregivers for their unwavering support and underscored the importance of compassion and generosity as reflections of true gospel values.
“Finally, today after church, the Mavoko elderly and PWDs received their Christmas gifts at Mlolongo Primary. I am deeply grateful to the caregivers who came to pick up the gifts on their behalf,” Hon. Kamene stated.
The initiative, which benefited over 35 families, highlighted the power of kindness and the need to uplift vulnerable groups, particularly during the festive season.
Hon. Kamene concluded with warm holiday wishes, saying, “I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2025!”
This act of generosity demonstrates Hon. Kamene’s commitment to inclusivity and her dedication to ensuring that all constituents feel valued and supported during this season of love and unity.
