National Construction Authority Responds to Rongo Building Collapse

A seven-story building under construction collapsed at approximately 4:30 p.m. in Rongo Town, injuring three individuals, including a security guard and two children struck by falling debris. The victims were quickly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, while search and rescue efforts continue to ensure no one else remains trapped or injured.

The National Construction Authority (NCA) has identified the project as registered under number 51625315710072. Developer Mr. Daniel Obuya Ooko was overseeing the project, with Architect Joseph Ralph Odhiambo (A577), Engineer Joel Kireu Wairua (A2699), and Quantity Surveyor Brian Otieno Oluoch (Q1046) listed as consultants. Build High Enterprises was contracted to execute the construction.
