Korogocho MCA Absolomon Onyango bagged his second prestigious award within one month as the best performing MCA in Nairobi.
The first time legislator emerged top ahead of 84 other MCAS in Nairobi at the Jamhuri Kenya Awards 2024 held at the University of Nairobi.
He also came third overall across the country, boosting his fortunes among voters and Korogocho people.
The Jamhuri Kenya Awards are organized by the State Department for Diaspora. The awards recognize Kenyan visionaries and their outstanding achievements in various fields.
To this effect, Mr. Matach was recognised for his unwavering contributions to public service since his election to the County Assembly.
Speaking to press,Mca Matach expressed his gratitude, stating, “Happy and elated to receive yet another award during the Jamhuri Awards last evening: The best MCA in Kenya and third best in Kenya,he noted.
The ODM MCA listed some of his achievements, including transparency in issuing bursaries to the needy. Odhiambo listed the construction of several roads in the ward, such as Mama Ng’endo and Blue Bar roads, which he said had opened up the ward.
“Transparent, free and fair bursary distribution, construction of roads Mama Ng’endo and Bluebar roads), completion of ECD Center at Ngunyumu, perimeter wall at Ngomongo Level 2, ongoing construction of Korogocho stadium, ICT hub at Daniel Comboni Primary and many more. Thank you, Korogocho, for the opportunity,” he added.
Last month, he was awarded the title of Best Performing MCA at the prestigious Pinnacle Awards Gala.
