KURA Director General Inspects Key Road Projects in Kesses and Ainabkoi

Eng. Silas Kinoti, the Director General of the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA), led an inspection tour on Friday to evaluate the progress of key road infrastructure projects in Kesses and Ainabkoi constituencies. Accompanying him were Hon. CPA Julius Rutto, Member of Parliament for Kesses, and Hon. Samuel Chepkonga, Member of Parliament for Ainabkoi.

The tour focused on crucial road projects designed to improve connectivity and spur economic development in the region. Projects reviewed included the Elgon View – Sugunanga Bridge, Saroiyot – Plateau Road (completion), and Ngeria Junction – Plateau Road (completion).

Speaking during the inspection, Eng. Kinoti highlighted KURA’s commitment to ensuring the successful delivery of these projects. “We are closely monitoring these developments to ensure their timely delivery and to maximize their long-term benefits for our communities,” he stated.

The leaders emphasized the transformative impact these infrastructure improvements would have, noting that they will provide better access to essential services, enhance mobility, and foster economic growth.

Residents and stakeholders expressed optimism about the benefits these road projects will bring, including easing transportation challenges and boosting trade and productivity in the region. As construction progresses, the community eagerly anticipates the completion of these vital infrastructure projects.
