Notably, the project includes new components such as a hydrogen fertilizer production plant for commercial farming and a 500 MW greenfield solar power system. These additions reflect government efforts to reduce costs by KSh 100 billion in collaboration with private partners while broadening the project’s scope.

Governor Adam praised the government’s commitment to food security and urged for the timely completion of the project, highlighting its potential to transform northern Kenya and mitigate climate challenges. Eng. Muasya provided updates on implementation plans, emphasizing benefits for local communities.

The meeting reinforced the importance of collaboration in driving sustainable development and enhancing resilience in the region.
