Korogocho MCA Absolom Odhiambo, affectionately known as Matach, has expressed his admiration for ODM Leader Raila Odinga, commending him for his unwavering support for the youth and dedication to their empowerment.
In an address during a fundraiser aimed at assisting the Tupus youth group in acquiring a bus, the outspoken MCA credited Raila for playing a pivotal role in shaping his own journey. Matach emphasized his allegiance to Raila, stating,
“It is through trusting Raila that I have become who I am today.”
Highlighting Raila’s commitment to the youth, Matach remarked,
“Raila is a darling to the youth, and he has consistently stood by them. I am ready and willing to follow his command based on what he says. Hata. Baba akisema Turudi maandamano Leo Mimi Niko Tayari”
Matach further pointed out the challenges faced by many youths, particularly in slum areas, due to the escalating cost of living. He stressed the importance of initiatives and strategies that uplift the youth rather than exploiting them for political gains.
As a testament to Raila Odinga’s support, the ODM Leader, who graced the event as the guest of honor, generously donated Ksh. 1 million to the Tupus youth group, further solidifying his commitment to the betterment of young lives.
