The path to glory saw Nation FC dominate Group H and later overcome formidable opponents in the knockout stages. A standout semifinal performance against BATUK A (2-0) set the stage for their final clash with Deloitte A, where a single decisive goal secured the championship.

Individual Honors
Nation Media Group’s goalkeeper Brian Mwasya was named the tournament’s best goalkeeper, while Radio Africa Group’s Alex Amudavi claimed the golden boot as top scorer with eight goals.

More Than a Trophy
The Standard Chartered Cup, a flagship amateur futsal event, is inspired by the bank’s partnership with Liverpool FC. Speaking at the medal presentation, Joyce Kibe, Standard Chartered’s Head of Corporate Affairs, Brand, and Marketing for Kenya and Africa, praised the event:

“This tournament was a celebration of teamwork, skill, and fair play. Congratulations to Nation Media Group on their victory and to all the teams for making this event a success.”

As champions, Nation FC will enjoy an all-expenses-paid trip to Anfield in May 2025 to watch Liverpool take on Arsenal in the Premier League. The experience includes a training session at the Liverpool FC Academy, an exclusive stadium tour, and visits to Liverpool’s iconic attractions.

A Legacy of Excellence
Liverpool legend Jason McAteer, who graced the event, congratulated the champions, stating, “Visiting Anfield will be a remarkable experience. Playing on its historic pitch is a moment they will never forget.”
