In a move aimed at strengthening engineering education, the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK), led by Chairman Eng. Erastus Mwongera, carried out an independent review of the engineering program at the University of Embu. The review underscores EBK’s commitment to maintaining global standards in engineering education and professional practice.
During the opening session, Eng. Mwongera commended the University of Embu for its proactive collaboration with EBK. “The University of Embu has demonstrated a commendable commitment to ensuring its engineering program meets global benchmarks. This is critical in preparing graduates to address real-world challenges effectively,” he said.
Under the leadership of Registrar and CEO Eng. Margaret Ogai, EBK continues to ensure academic institutions are equipped with tools and frameworks that foster innovation and excellence. These regular reviews are essential for producing skilled professionals who can contribute significantly to Kenya’s development.
